This American-style deck jacket has proven itself on almost all the world's oceans. Pike Brothers has reissued the jacket from the 1940s. The outer fabric is made of double-sided Elephant Skin, a strong, tightly woven cotton fabric from a German weaving mill. Underneath is a voluminous, warming wool lining. All in all, this results in a wide-cut garment with a decent weight. The jacket is fastened with a metal zipper - an American Talon zipper, the slider of which is located on the right-hand side of the jacket, as is usual with American zippers. There is a buttoned, wind-repellent flap over the zipper and inner round knitted cuffs on the sleeves to keep the wind out. A drawstring with cord and metal eyelets at the inner hem allows for moderate width adjustment. The jacket has two slit pockets on the outside and a welt pocket with vertical access on the inside.

The Pike Brothers label from Bad Feilnbach in Upper Bavaria proves with garments inspired by textiles from the world of workwear that form and functionality are not mutually exclusive. While creative minds in other companies have to work out their cuts, the Pike Brothers collect, dissect and finally reconstruct historical originals from a wide variety of workspaces. Different material requirements and cuts are taken into account on a one-for-one basis. Fabrics are reissued in collaboration with traditional weaving mills. Finally, the Pike Brothers have the garments made by hand from selected European tailors. The resulting products tell a story by dint of their appearance. Moreover, they are proving themselves in practice, just like their historical role models did, to be highly functional and to offer the highest comfort – no matter what the activity.
