Two things are remarkable about this blouson. Firstly, the fabric: it is made from pure linen whose flax fibers come from controlled organic cultivation. The linen yarns give the fabric a striking look. It is also coated with polyurethane (PU) on the reverse side, which makes it windproof and water-repellent. As the jacket is lined with organic cotton fabric, this coating remains invisible both inside and out. The cut is comfortable, typical of a blouson, with elasticated cuffs at the neck, sleeves and hem. The blouson is fastened using a metal zipper with a lined placket, while ventilation eyelets under the armpits increase comfort. Two side pockets with concealed metal press studs and an inside pocket with a vertical metal zipper can hold small items for everyday use.

Fair fashion from China? It's possible! Miranda Chen and Philipp Langer prove it with their fair and resource-conscious fashion "made in China" - timeless, functional and durable. Back in 2009, the two founded the textile manufacturer Jiecco not far from Shanghai, where all of their collections are produced today. Their passion for fashion and expertise in fabric development laid the foundation for the fashion label LangerChen, which was launched five years later.

Since its foundation, the GOTS-certified manufacturer Jiecco has specialized in the production of eco-fair fashion. Good working conditions, a pleasant working environment and living wages are the top priorities here. When choosing materials, LangerChen relies on cotton and linen from controlled organic cultivation, virgin wool from controlled organic animal husbandry, Lyocell (TENCEL™) and fibers made from recycled plastic. Almost all of the fabrics used for the collections are developed in-house. Every step of the process, from processing the yarns to the final product, takes place directly on site with short distances.
