In the past, this type of work boots was widely used in rural areas. The last used gives the toes room to move and provides a comfortable fit. The supple, oiled cowhide leather protects against penetrating moisture. The boot is lined with warming whale felt - the long shaft, chained with a leather strip, is made entirely of it. Its width can be individually adjusted via a calf buckle. The insole is made of vegetable-tanned cowhide, the profiled rubber outsole provides good grip. Schwangau manufactures the largely handmade boot in its own manufactory in Hungary.
