The name of this timeless and contemporary eau de parfum from Carthusia says it all: with its Mediterranean aromas, Mediterraneo is reminiscent of sunny days on Capri. The unisex fragrance combines the freshness of lemon leaves with the extracts of invigorating green tea, creating a fascinating composition that revives the warmth of summer with citrus notes, floral and musky aromas and is itself as carefree as a day by the sea. The eau de parfum begins with wild mint, lemon, eucalyptus, litsea, red thyme and bergamot in the top note. Jasmine, cardamom, wild flowers, mandarin and green tea follow in the heart note on a warm base with white musk.

When Joanna I, Queen of Naples, visited the island of Capri at the end of the 14th century, the prior of the Certosa di San Giacomo had the most beautiful flowers collected for flower arrangements. A few days later, he happened to notice that the water had taken on a pleasant fragrance. A fragrance that one of his confreres used as a model for "Garofilium Silvestre Caprese", the first perfume on the island of Capri. Other perfume formulas followed, but over time the recipes were forgotten - until the Prior of the Charterhouse rediscovered them in 1948 - again by chance. He gave them to a chemist from Piedmont, who then founded a small laboratory called "Carthusia" and reissued the fragrances. The medieval formulas were carefully reworked by a renowned perfumer. The raw materials used are of the highest quality.
