The lid for the small Schmelzfeuer® makes it easier to extinguish the flame and also prevents the delicate fiberglass wick from drying out due to direct sunlight or from being exposed to dirt and moisture.

The Denk Ceramic Workshops in Coburg are known for ceramics with a unique character. Since its founding by Franz Denk in 1964, the family-owned business—now led by Fabian Denk—has specialized in heat-resistant specialty materials. The focus is on developing proprietary ceramic materials such as Granicium® and CeraFlam®. Every Denk product—from the Schmelzfeuer® to the hand mortar, birdbath, and wild bee house—undergoes numerous steps in the handcrafted production process. The result is functional, durable items for the kitchen, home, and garden that prove their utility for many years to come.
