Using this lever nutcracker requires gratifyingly little effort. Finely measured and considerate, walnuts or hazelnuts can be freed from their shells while the kernels remain intact. Pieces of shell collect in the residue chamber, which is easy to empty: simply pull the chamber bottom open a small piece. Made in a workshop for people with disabilities in Bielefeld.
