Delicately melting and highly aromatic
A specialty that can almost only be produced in the south of France with its extensive lavender fields is the fine, creamy lavender honey. It is light yellow in color, has a distinct lavender aroma that lingers on the tongue and is melt-in-the-mouth delicious. Lavender honey is always in great demand, but we were able to secure a batch of 1,500 jars from beekeeper Serge Bompard.
