The Lauscha glassblowers use small bars made of solid coloured glass for creating these flowers. For a start, they draw blanks from the glass; then they model the pieces into shape. Chronologically, they form the stems, petals and foliage; then they connect the segments. It's crucially important that they keep the glass searing hot and viscous during the entire manufacturing process for managing the ambitious undertaking.

Certain manufacturing steps are carried out by hand. Slight dimensional and color deviations may therefore occur.
