For many people, mopping the floor is one of the least enjoyable household chores, so it’s best to tackle it with the right tools. That way, the job gets done easier and faster. The floor cloth from Vieböck (best used in combination with our scrubber) is a real help here: Woven from pure, bleached linen yarn in the warp and undyed linen in the weft, it’s a joy to use, and thanks to its waffle weave, it has exceptional dirt-absorbing capabilities. Linen is a natural material that is very durable, can absorb a lot of moisture, and release it quickly. Due to the smooth surface of the linen fibers, it is naturally dirt-repellent and therefore easy to clean.

The floor cloth must be washed before its first use, because only then does the shrinkage (of 10%) create the waffle texture of the linen fabric, giving it a nice, grippy feel. By the way: The longer linen cloths are used, the softer and more absorbent they become. They can withstand many, many wash cycles and easily hold their own against any microfiber cloth—but with added benefits: Throughout their long cleaning life, they produce no microplastics, nor do they end up contributing to the mountains of plastic waste.
