For the upper material, Genesis uses a vegan leather alternative made from corn waste, recycled polyester and polyurethane as well as a coarse-pored mesh fabric made from recycled polyester and polyamide. The latter in particular ensures an airy feel and makes the shoe a real lightweight. The lining is made entirely from recycled polyester. The cork insole is removable and can be replaced with your own insoles if required. The shock-absorbing, highly profiled outsole made of rubber and natural rubber offers a high level of comfort every step of the way and good grip on almost any surface.

Genesis Footwear is a sneaker label that focuses on fair working conditions and the thoughtful use of natural resources without compromising on design. That's why Genesis sneakers are made almost entirely from recycled and innovative materials. Although production is around five to seven times more expensive than the big players in the sneaker industry due to the complex production process and good working conditions, the final price is still no higher. This is possible because Genesis deliberately avoids traditional advertising and marketing, which accounts for around 70 percent of the price of the big brands. The declared aim is to be competitive with a fair sales price. Last but not least, Genesis Footwear donates a portion of its profits to organizations dedicated to the well-being of the oceans, such as One Earth - One Ocean, the Surfrider Foundation and Sea Shepherd.
