This dress comes in a summery combination of materials that is very comfortable to wear, light and therefore slightly transparent: Modal (TENCEL™) and silk. Modal (TENCEL™ ) is a regenerative cellulose fiber made from beech wood that comes from certified sources. It is soft, skin-friendly and breathable, while silk is smooth and flowing. The design features a brightly colored, batik-like pattern. Lanius makes the dress with a V-neckline, wide sleeves with a trim, a drawstring at the waist and in-seam side pockets. A longitudinal dividing seam at the front makes the dress look slimmer.

The work of fashion label Lanius is influenced by three factors: first, a style characterised by sophisticated designs and forms, secondly the use of certified raw materials and thirdly the guarantee that all garments have been produced under fair working conditions. Depending on the garment, one factor may get centre stage, but the other factors don’t move out of the focus – however, importance is always attached to outstanding quality both in terms of materials and finish. The label was founded in 1999 by Claudia Lanius, who works on all her ideas and designs in her Cologne studio; she has them developed by her team and then assembled by producers in several countries.
