The blouson - once designed as a comfortable work jacket - achieved cult status in the 1950s with style icons such as James Dean. It has been reinterpreted again and again over the decades. Here it comes in a classic cut, the material used is rather unusual. LangerChen makes a good half of it from Lyocell (TENCEL™), a regenerated fiber obtained from wood that comes from controlled sources. The other half is organically grown linen. This special combination of materials comes together in this blouson to create a breathable, supple and durable fabric with a clearly visible twill weave. The fabric surface is peached (roughened), which makes it even softer to the touch. The lining is made from skin-friendly, organically grown cotton and is pleasantly light on the skin. The blouson has a comfortable, hip-length fit, with a stand-up collar and elasticated cuffs on the raglan sleeves and hem. It is fastened with a metal zipper. Ventilation eyelets under the armpits increase comfort. Two side pockets with concealed press studs and two inside pockets, one of which has a zipper, provide space for small items for everyday use.

Fair fashion from China? It's possible! Miranda Chen and Philipp Langer prove it with their fair and resource-conscious fashion "made in China" - timeless, functional and durable. Back in 2009, the two founded the textile manufacturer Jiecco not far from Shanghai, where all of their collections are produced today. Their passion for fashion and expertise in fabric development laid the foundation for the fashion label LangerChen, which was launched five years later.

Since its foundation, the GOTS-certified manufacturer Jiecco has specialized in the production of eco-fair fashion. Good working conditions, a pleasant working environment and living wages are the top priorities here. When choosing materials, LangerChen relies on cotton and linen from controlled organic cultivation, virgin wool from controlled organic animal husbandry, Lyocell (TENCEL™) and fibers made from recycled plastic. Almost all of the fabrics used for the collections are developed in-house. Every step of the process, from processing the yarns to the final product, takes place directly on site with short distances.
