Razor sharp from Japan. The Higonokami.
In Japan, this knife has been made almost unchanged for over 100 years. Its blade, and this is a particular Japanese specialty, has a three-layer structure: with a core of hard carbon steel, which provides remarkable cutting durability, and sides of softer steel. The handle of the Higonokami is a folded sheet of brass, in which the blade disappears completely when closed. It is easily opened with the help of the angled lever at the level of the joint.
