Far from a quiet, shy, and reserved gray, the design of this wool blanket by Lapuan Kankurit is anything but. The yellow dots—we like to imagine them as stylized flowers or fruits—truly breathe life into the light gray background with its anthracite-colored leaves. If you prefer it a little darker, simply flip the blanket over; thanks to the jacquard weave, the background now appears in anthracite, the leaves have swapped their color for the beautiful yellow of the dots, which in turn now dance in light gray. A true color swap.

Lapuan Kankurit uses soft, warm merino wool from Argentina for this wool blanket. The 42 percent cotton content ensures that the blanket is even more supple and particularly gentle on the skin. This makes the blanket feel very comfortable even in the summer against bare legs and feet. The merino wool is spun in Finland and processed entirely at the weaving mill in Kankurit. The blanket features very short, so-called “eyelash” fringes along the long edges.
