This is the smallest hatchet from the Swedish axe forge Hultafors range. Short handle, light weight: the hand axe is the perfect outdoor companion for camping and excursions into nature. As such, it not only splits firewood for the campfire, but also sharpens branches for stick bread and sausages. And this small hatchet even clears smaller obstacles such as branches protruding into the hiking trail in no time at all. The blacksmith needs forty to sixty hammer blows to shape the axe head. To increase its durability, the material - Swedish quality steel - is further compacted under the blows of the hammer. The fully hardened cutting edge remains sharp at all times (but can also be resharpened if necessary). The short handle of the hand axe is made from the wood of the American hickory tree, which is both tough and elastic and therefore able to cushion any impact. We would say it works with you.
