The sophisticated "derivative" of our hinged drawer containers comes with three drawers instead of five. Despite having the same color range as its big brothers, the 3-drawer container has also reached maturity in its design and construction, is well thought-out in its choice of materials and is even more flexible in its functionality. Thanks to its lower height, the swivel drawer pedestal is now also suitable as a side table next to the bed and couch, offers itself as storage space at the desk and in the small bathroom and even serves as a veritable shelf underneath long coats in the checkroom.

This vibrant combination of colors is available exclusively from Manufactum. In order to maintain the intensity of the original 5-piece combination, the top and base plates as well as the round steels are now also dipped in color in addition to the three drawers (the color of the round steels corresponds to that of the base plate). We were inspired here by the colors of the Berlin "Tuschkastensiedlung", which was designed by the architect Bruno Taut. And so the combination of yellow-orange, water blue and zinc yellow, pastel yellow and carmine red, as in Taut's architecture, forms its own powerful design element that lends the reduced form a special radiance.

Called a "pivot cabinet" in English - "pivot" means something like "pivot joint" or "pivot axis" - this name refers to the essential design element of the container: the individual drawers are swung open on an axis, not pulled open or folded down as is usually the case. This design idea was made famous by Joe Colombo's "Boby" roll container developed in 1970. The Italian architect was also one of the leading futuristic industrial designers of the 1960s, with his "dynamic pieces of furniture" always aiming for multifunctionality.

Our swivel drawer container builds on the ideal of those designs, but doesn't just quote the utopias of past decades, but smartly brings the future into your home today. While Colombo and his colleagues were still enthusiastic about the newly developed plastics of the 1960s, we know better today and prefer sheet steel, which is far more stable and durable. As a side table in the living room or bedroom, as an under-table for the wardrobe or desk, in the bathroom or kitchen, the 3-fold swivel drawer pedestal takes on its intended function in any environment and, like any successful design object, fulfills the role of eye-catcher in a perfectly shaped and colourful way.

With an undivided surface area of around A4 size, the three hinged drawers can hold larger and smaller good things. The construction is well thought out and solid: The front round steel, which connects the top cover and base of the container, forms the swivel axis so that the drawers are flush with the rear steel tubes when closed; with the help of a small magnet on the rear wall, they dock into place with a gentle snap. And even if they don't beep or flash to let you know that the fridge needs to be refilled, the drawers reveal all the necessary and possible contents by swiveling open 270 degrees and providing a complete overview. At the bottom, the height-adjustable feet ensure that you can counteract any unevenness in the surface. And if you want to make your designer furniture even more mobile, we offer a separate set of castor feet for the swivel drawer container, which you can screw into place of the feet in no time at all.

Please observe the maximum permissible load capacity of the revolving drawers. Distribute the weight evenly. Heavier objects should be placed in the lower, lighter ones in the upper revolving drawers. Do not open more than one revolving drawer at a time to avoid tipping over. Do not leave small children unattended with this piece of furniture.
