It should be colorful, but not gaudy. An eye-catcher in a single "basic color" with the option of matching or complementing it. If you wanted to offer the revolving drawer container in such basic colors, which colors come to mind first? If you ask a child, they will most likely answer: yellow, red, green and blue! Fine, but which yellow, which red, green or blue? Are they really "primary colors" or are they mixed colors? Do you use color models such as CMYK (cyan, magenta, yellow and key = black, but wait, we don't want non-color black) or do you use nuanced color systems such as Itten's color wheel or the RAL color palette?

Once again, we didn't listen to old Mr. von Briest ("Oh Luise, stop ... that's too wide a field ..."), but instead focused our color perception, chose, discarded and reconsidered and finally selected four colors from the RAL palette that meet our requirements. They belong to the spectrum of yellow, red, green and blue. They stand out without imposing themselves. And - what a wonderful twist - they are compatible with the colors of the DS container and can be perfectly combined with it.

Called a "pivot cabinet" in English - "pivot" means something like "pivot joint" or "pivot axis" - this name refers to the essential design element of the container: the individual drawers are pivoted open on an axis, not pulled open or folded down as is usually the case. This design idea was made famous by Joe Colombo's "Boby" roll container developed in 1970. The Italian architect was also one of the leading futuristic industrial designers of the 1960s, with his "dynamic pieces of furniture" always aiming for multifunctionality.

Our swivel drawer container builds on the ideal of those designs, but doesn't just quote the utopias of past decades, but smartly brings the future into your home today. While Colombo and his colleagues - typical of the 1960s - were still enthusiastic about the newly developed plastics of the time, we know better today and prefer sheet steel, which offers far greater stability and durability and reinforces the versatility of the container: bathroom, living room or entrance area, in any environment, the revolving drawer container takes on its intended function of storage, presentation and accessibility and, like any successful design object, catches the eye with its perfect form.

With an undivided surface area of around A4 each, the five hinged drawers can hold larger and smaller items. The construction is well thought out and solid: The front round steel, which connects the top cover and base of the container, forms the swivel axis so that the drawers are flush with the rear steel tubes when closed; with the help of a small magnet on the rear wall, they dock into place with a gentle snap. And even if they don't beep or flash to let you know that the fridge needs to be refilled, the drawers reveal all the necessary and possible contents by swiveling open 270 degrees and providing a complete overview. At the bottom, the height-adjustable feet ensure that you can counteract any unevenness in the surface.

Please observe the maximum permissible load capacity of the revolving drawers. Distribute the weight evenly. Heavier objects should be placed in the lower, lighter ones in the upper revolving drawers. Do not open more than one revolving drawer at a time to avoid tipping over. Do not leave small children unattended with this piece of furniture.
