This coat rack, thanks to its slim lines, has been designed by Schwerter, a specialist firm in north-west Germany, for the hallway, corridor or bedroom where space is at a premium, for example in a town flat. With this in mind, it’s been given a distinctly contemporary elegance with the slim-line nickel-plated brass used in its construction. This mixture of metals will – with the first few polishings – produce an unusually fine, deep, warm glow. Later, the surface will begin to ‘age’, giving it a fine natural patina.
The rack is attached to the wall behind with screws: the five small coat-hooks are uniformly spaced.
