Swiss Excellence Plus - the name of this hair clipper says it all, because a) it comes from the Swiss manufacturer Valera® and b) it is designed for professional hairdressers. It proves its excellence in use: Powerful, durable and precise, it cuts any hair - thick, dense scalp hair as well as thick beard hair. The power is provided by a DC motor with high torque and constant speed (5,500 rpm). It is equipped with sharp Durablade blades - diamond-ground blades made of Japanese high-carbon steel, which is particularly durable, hard and abrasion-resistant due to its high carbon content. The long, angled teeth of the blade with their beveled edges ensure a smooth, clean cut without tearing the hair.

Five cutting lengths (0.8, 1.3, 1.8, 2.4 and 3 mm) can be set using a slide switch on the appliance. Six robust attachment combs for additional cutting lengths of 3, 6, 9, 12, 16 and 20 millimetres are also included. You can use the clipper cordlessly on battery power: A lithium-ion LFP battery of the latest generation enables a runtime of up to 120 minutes. Thanks to the quick-charge function, the battery is quickly ready for use again after a short charging time. Special electronics to protect the battery maximize the number of charging and discharging cycles and reduce standby consumption to almost zero. However, the mains adapter supplied (universal voltage from 100 to 240 volts) also allows corded use. The scope of delivery also includes a charging station, which also stores the hair clipper within easy reach, as well as a small bottle of oil.

Since the company was founded in 1955, the manufacturer Valera® has focused exclusively on hair care appliances, working closely with professional hairdressers. Founded in Milan by Gustavo Soresina under the brand name Sorel, the successful family business grew over the years and moved its headquarters to the Swiss canton of Ticino. At the end of the 1970s, sons Claudio and Flavio joined the company. The in-house development and research department is responsible for many innovations, for which the company cooperates with hair stylists from the initial idea through to implementation. All appliances are still produced in Switzerland.
