The refill for writing: 1.18 mm.
There are privations that one feels only when they are over. A manual and frequent writer experiences this when a refill holder with the old 1.18 mm refill, which has hardly been available for decades, falls into his hand again. How did it work before? With the eternally scratchy, fast-breaking 0.7 mm refill or, if it got too colorful, with the 2 mm refill, which was much too greasy for pure writing purposes and therefore had to be sharpened every time. Especially when you wanted to write small but legibly on small-format index cards in timetable book forms, it was not really possible. For writing instruments to counteract this deficiency, we offer here again the appropriate 1.18 mm graphite refills.

There are deprivations you can only feel when they have gone. People who write a lot by hand will have this experience when they hold a leadholder in their hands with the old 1.18 mm lead, which was so hard to find for a number of decades. How did it work before? With the 0.7 mm lead which scratched permanently and broke easily or, when you are too tired, with the 2 mm lead which is much too thick for writing purposes and has to be sharpened very often. Especially when you intended to write small but legibly on time schedule books or small index cards this was almost impossible. For this purpose we offer this pencil from the Manufactum writing instrument series with which you will experience this deprivation, but will fix it at the same time.
