This attachment ring is designed for our Granicium® incense burner. With a standard or maxi tea light, it becomes a heating stove for tea and coffee in a pot or mug. Like the incense burner, the top ring is also made of Denk's own granite ceramic (Granicium®). The main component of the dense ceramic material is ground granite, which makes it correspondingly strong and stable.

Granicium® is a proprietary development of the Denk pottery. The starting material is real granite, which is crushed into rock flour in a mineral mill. Together with water and effective microorganisms, this flour is transformed into a malleable mass that is very similar in structure to ceramic clay. When wet, however, this mass is sensitive and can only be further processed very carefully with craftsmanship and skill. The drying process alone can take up to two weeks before a mold made from the material can be fired at very high temperatures in a gas kiln. An effort that pays off, because Granicium® is extremely hard and even frost-resistant.
