Slip it on, tie the bow - it fits! There are two reasons why we wouldn't want any other garden apron than this one. Reason number one: the arrangement of its two very supple shoulder straps. Made from vegetable-tanned, non-slip cowhide leather, they come together at the back to form a (movable) cross and are connected at this point with ties made from woven cotton. These ties, in turn, are also passed through an eyelet fixed into the side of the apron fabric. Think of it as a kind of harness that you simply slip on - and with a tug on the ties, the apron adapts to your body. No tugging and pushing of the bib on the upper body, no pulling on the lower apron. Fits, wobbles and has air, as they used to say. And reason number two? The waxed cotton fabric, which the Berlin inventors of this excellent gardener's apron source from England. If not there, where else do they know about waxed cotton? The material is dirt and moisture repellent (at least to a certain extent) and therefore ideal for earthy gardening work. In the numerous pockets - the largest of which can even be unbuttoned - you can store flower scissors, tying tape, gardening knives etc. and always have the most important items to hand.
