The scent of lavender soothes, relaxes and helps many people fall asleep. Moths, on the other hand, avoid it, so a lavender sachet in the closet or on the hanger keeps them away from textiles.
Classically, lavender is grown in large fields in the south of France. These lavender flowers, however, come from northern Germany, from about 1,500 lavender plants (Lavendula augustifolia) that grow there alongside other medicinal and bee-friendly plants in the Stapeler Kräuterfeld. With this project, the manufacturer wants to make its contribution to species protection and diversity. The plants are grown according to the strict specifications of the Bioland Association, on a small area of 5,000 square meters. The cotton for the sachet also comes from controlled organic cultivation. Due to the small cultivation area, the number of lavender sachets is limited, the stock is replenished only after the next harvest.
