General Information
Less drama. More fidelity
The forget-me-not is considered the flower of lovers who swear eternal fidelity. As romantic as this approach is, there is a rather dramatic legend behind it, which has been popularly told for centuries: A knight was once walking along the riverbank with his beloved damsel, where he discovered a blue flower that he was determined to give to his lady. But he slipped while picking it on the wet bank, fell into the water - and his heavy armor pulled him down into the depths without mercy. With his last ounce of strength, the knight threw the blue flower to his lady and called out: "Don't forget me!" before he was swept away by the floods. It seems that he has not been forgotten in many places: In England, the persistently blooming little plant is known as "Forget-me-not", in France it is also called "Ne m'oubliez pas", in Italy it conjures up "Non ti scordar di me" and so on ...
Made of pure new wool from New Zealand, this hand-felted forget-me-not makes no drama out of its story. With its blue blossoms, it simply brings springtime cheer to your decorations, whether as a graceful solitaire in a small vase, as a splash of color on a napkin or as an additional embellishment to a gift. Oh, and it will faithfully adorn your creations for years to come, even without you falling in love with a knight or damsel.
Fairly combined. Gry & Sif
During her backpacking trip through Nepal, the Dane Gry Staunstrup was immediately captivated by the openness and warmth of the people - and by their craftsmanship. She was able to observe in detail how skillfully and skilfully Nepalese women felted wool into Objekten. The idea of using this skill and combining Nepalese craftsmanship with Danish design was quickly born. And the idea was immediately followed by action.
Since 2000, the company Gry & Sif has been producing a wide range of products from wool felt in Nepal. The designs supplied by Gry Staunstrup are in typical Danish design, as striking as they are discreet and at the same time carefree and cheerful; the production is carried out by Nepalese women using traditional craftsmanship. Now Fair Trade certified, Gry & Sif stands for fair wages, good working conditions and transparency. Only pure new wool from New Zealand sheep is used for the felt products - each of which is unique and handmade.
Note:
Certain manufacturing steps are carried out by hand. Slight dimensional and color deviations may therefore occur.
