This fitted sheet is made from pre-washed linen, which is why it feels pleasantly soft right from the first time you put it on. This is because during the pre-wash (the shrinking process)—as well as during subsequent washes—the long linen fibers are bent, making the fabric softer and leaving almost none of the initial stiffness typical of linen. Additionally, the fabric hardly shrinks at all. Another advantage of this special pre-wash: it changes the fabric’s appearance, giving the linen a more vibrant surface and a fuller look—ideal for anyone who prefers to skip ironing anyway.

The linen is woven (in plain weave) and manufactured in Portugal, using exclusively flax of European origin. The fitted sheet features an elastic band all around and fits mattresses 35 centimeters high.

Generally, linen bedding may be spun after washing and put in the dryer, but it can then shrink even more, especially it is more difficult to smooth and also does not get back the perfect smooth surface afterwards. But for those who like it more casual, it is the right thing to do. So if you want to put the laundry in the dryer, it has proven useful to put three to five tennis balls in the drum with it. This makes the bed linen softer and smoother - but it won't be as smooth as before, not even by ironing or mangling.
More gentle (and also energy-saving) is drying on the clothesline. Spin the covers after washing only briefly on, if you iron the best still slightly damp laundry after drying, it gets back the smooth surface.

In summer, there is no better material for bed linen than linen. Due to the smooth surface of the linen fibers, the fabric feels pleasant on the skin, is dirt-repellent and therefore also pollen-repellent, and is easy to clean. Linen can conduct heat very well and at the same time absorb a lot of moisture without feeling damp. It also wicks away moisture quickly and is therefore perceived as cooling.
