This new wool blanket from Tweedmill puts us in a great (summer) mood just by looking at it. This is because (as with its striped sister, which you can also get from us) particularly cheerful, summery colors are used here. The check pattern of pink, blue, green, orange and yellow is woven in a twill weave. The edges have been carefully edged with natural-colored wool yarn. Tweedmill uses New Zealand virgin wool, which is mulesing-free, as this is not practiced in New Zealand - this also ensures a good mood. It is pleasantly soft to the touch, yet hard-wearing and slightly lighter overall than the Tweedmill counterparts in our range. You can therefore use the new wool blanket in both winter and summer, for the sofa and garden lounger alike. With its size of 140 × 200 centimetres, it is even ideal for an afternoon snooze underneath.

Since 1971, the North Wales weaving mill Tweedmill, in the county of Flintshire, has been producing home textiles, outdoor blankets and accessories from wool. The range extends from soft tweed made from fine lambswool to traditional tartans and blankets made from New Zealand wool and picnic blankets made from recycled wool. The designs are inspired by the colors of Welsh nature, the forests and the coast, but also surprise with bold tones and unusual color combinations. They are mainly created by the company's own designers, but the family business also encourages young creative minds: the winning designs of the annual Drapers Memorial Textile Prize are realized in a separate collection.
