Each gong is unique in sound and despite the fact that the pitch is indeterminate, it can be said that the larger the gong, the deeper the tones and the more impressive the results that can be achieved through various striking techniques (tempo, striking force, rhythm, muting, etc.) when the freely suspended gong is made to sound by striking it with the cotton wrapped striking head of the wooden mallet.
