The world owes this piece of sanitary furniture made of enameled sheet steel to the personal misgivings of its manufacturer - in our experience an absolutely solid motive. The manufacturer's cat, blessed with an extremely sensitive nose, regularly refused to use a plastic toilet within a short period of time after purchasing a new one - because it has a natural tendency to take on the smell of what it is made for. Consequently, the cat in question switched to other, supposedly suitable collection containers (preferably flower pots placed close to the floor) - which prompted our supplier, who deals commercially with enamel goods, to produce a litter tray made of the very material that is characterized by its solidity and resistance to soiling and has always proven its hygienic suitability in bathrooms and kitchens. The result - a container made of enameled sheet steel and aluminium - is not exactly cheap, but it is a superior product in terms of plastic-free design, aesthetics and potentially also economy, which - can be cleaned without leaving any residue thanks to its glass surface; - does not absorb any odours; - can serve as a quiet place for several generations of cats due to its durability, making the repeated purchase and removal of commercially available plastic toilets obsolete; - and its shape corresponds to the cat's natural tendency to turn on its own axis before doing its business.The removable, easy-to-clean aluminum ring, which covers the edge of the enamel tray with some overhang to the inside, also keeps scrapped litter where it belongs.
