You can't stand any softer in the bathroom than on these bath and shower mats. Their sumptuousness lies in the tufting technique. A base fabric is "sewn" with a ring-spun yarn made from long-staple cotton fibers. It is held in place with special gripper arms so that a thick pile is created on both sides. The resulting loops are cut open on one of the sides, creating an open velour side and a closed loop side - the bath mat shows the "negative" of the reverse side on each side. The pile gets its good stability from an initial wash in the factory, during which the base fabric in the warp and weft springs in differently and comes under tension. This works best with this heavy quality of 2,200 g/sqm and a thickness of 20 millimeters. After washing at home (delicate wash up to 30 °C), it is best to put the bath mats in the dryer to restore their fullness.
