A towel made of twisted half-twist linen in the best hotel quality, pure white and with a good grip thanks to the half-twist. It is woven in a particularly robust weave: a combination of barley grain and twill weave with finer linen yarn in the warp (Nm 34/2) and cotton in the weft (Nm 12).

Traditionally, the barley grain towel is used for shaving preparation. The barber uses a damp, hot cloth applied before lathering up to prepare the beard hairs and skin for shaving. After shaving, a fresh towel removes any remaining lather.
