General Information
Lush scent of flawless jasmine
Jasmine is one of the oldest ingredients for perfume; perfumers in Grasse were already using the delicate flowers of 'Jasmin grandiflorum', the large-flowered jasmine, for their creations in the 16th century. The best qualities are harvested at the height of summer, usually in August in the early hours of the morning, shortly after blossoming. In this absolute, its fresh, powdery, slightly fruity, honey-like fragrance is intensified in the heart note by the base of light woods and white musk. Fresh, fruity top notes of orange blossom, white peach and neroli, with heart notes of jasmine and tuberose. White cedar, patchouli and white musk form the warm base.
A French Pannier Full of Mediterranean Scents. Panier des Sens.
Panier des Sens created their first perfumes in Sault, a small village in the Vaucluse region, surrounded by lush lavender fields – some claim they are the most beautiful in Provence. The Mediterranean Sea, landscape, and flora contribute to the family-owned company’s inspiration for creating fragrances. The scents are fresh creations of uncomplicated and light character, made from natural extracts and essential oils sourced from the region. The formulations come from Perfumers in Grasse, and Panier des Sens produces its scents in the tradition-steeped town near the French Riviera according to the classical artistry of perfumery.
Fragrance from the Essence. Les Absolues.
Panier des Sens uses highly concentrated, precious elixirs for its absolutes. The perfumers initiate an extracting process with the help of a solvent and obtain the delicate liquid from plants and flowers – a perfume-making process that is as old as the art of perfumery itself. To do this, in a first step, they macerate the plants’ parts, blossoms or seeds. The result is a solid concretion, which is then melted and dissolved in alcohol so that the perfumers can separate insoluble substances from the pigments and essences such as essential oils in the solution. Finally, they distil the alcohol, and what remains is a rich, all-natural, fragrant essence. These essences give Panier des Sens’ eau de toilettes their intense, long-lasting scents.
Note:
Please note that some perfumes, especially those with yellowish or other colored fragrance oils, may stain light-colored clothing.
